Ellis Baden Osborne, son of William Franklin & Ida Talula ( Talley) Osborne, was born on August 19, 1886.  He married Ysleta "Leta" McKinney, the daughter of Isaac Washington & Hattie Benigna ( Durst) McKinney.  Ellis died on Aug 30, 1951 in Navarro County TX and Leta died on July 9, 1923 in Navarro County, TX.  They are both buried in the Prairie Grove Cemetery at Emmett, Navarro County Texas.

Their children are Lester Lamar, Hugh Lynn, J. C., Edythe Estelle, Anne Ruth, Melba Mozelle, and Travis Leon Osborne.

OBITUARIES FOR ELLIS OSBORNE

Dies at Corsicana

CORSICANA, Texas, Sept. 1. - Ellis B. Osborne, 65, native of Navarro County, died at his residence here. Funeral services were held Saturday with burial in the Emmett Cemetery. Surviving are his wife of Corsicana; four sons, L. L. Osborne, Houston; T. L. Osborne, Hillsboro; J. C. and Hugh L. Osborne, both of Baytown; six daughters, Miss Estelle Osborne, Dallas; Mrs. Srubar and Mrs. A.C. Gonzales, both of San Antonio; Mrs. Wesley Duke, Dallas; Mrs. E. B. Dosser, Corsicana, and Mrs. O. G. Owen, Dallas; a number of grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Wiley Burns, Frost; Mrs. Mattie Neese, Fort Worth, and Miss Lizzie Rae Osborne, Corsicana.

OBITUARY

Rites Saturday For E. B. Osborne

Funeral services for Ellis B. Osborne, 65, native of Navarro county, who died Friday morning, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Corley Chapel.

The rites were conducted by Rev. C. C. Ellis, pastor of the Frost Baptist church. Burial was in the Emmett cemetery.

A native of Emmett, Osborne had resided in Navarro county all of his life and had made his home in Corsicana for the past three years.

Surviving are his wife of Corsicana; four sons, L. L. Osborne, Houston; T. L. Osborne, Hillsboro; J. C. and Hugh L. Osborne, both of Baytown; six daughters, Miss Estelle Osborne, Dallas; Mrs. Gus Srubar and Mrs. A. C. Gonzales both of San Antonio; Mrs. Wesley Duke, Dallas; Mrs. E. B. Dosser, Corsicana; and Mrs. O. G. Owen, Dallas; a number of grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Wiley Burns, Frost; Mrs. Mattie Neese, Fort Worth; and Miss Lizzie Rae Osborne, Corsicana; and a number of other relatives.


 

OBITUARIES for Leta Osborne

Mrs. Leta Osborne Dies
Mrs. Leta Osborne, 32, died Monday morning at 5:30 o'clock at a local sanitarium
The body was prepared for burial and was sent by the L. C. Puckett Undertaking company to mertens, where burial will take place today.  Mrs. Osborne reached Waco Sunday night coming here for treatment, but it was too late.
She is survived by her husband, Ellis B. OSborne, and seven children, four boys and three girls.

Mrs. Ellis Osborne, Dies at Frost, Texas
Relatives in Houston of Mrs. Ellis Osborne, of Frost, Texas, have received word of her death Monday at her home. Mrs. Osborne was a frequent visitor in Houston. Her brother, D. T. McKinney, is marine superintendent at Baytown. She is survived by two brothers, Durst McKinney, of West Columbia, and David McKinney, of Bayown, and four sisters, Misses Robbie, Hattie May, Ila A. and I. W. McKinney, all of League City. Mrs. Osborne was the daughter of Mrs. Hattie McKinney of League City.

MERTENS WOMAN DIES IN WACO HOSPITAL
[Mrs. Leta Osborne of Mertens, age 32, died Monday morning at 5:30 in a local sanitarium. The body was prepared for burial and will be shipped Monday afternoon by the Puckett Undertaking company to Irene, to be taken from there to Emmett, where the funeral will take place Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Osborne is survived by her husband, Ellis B. Osborne; six children, mother, Mrs. Hattie McKinney  .... City, and by four brothers and three sisters, Travis McKinney, Bayrown, Texxas; Durst McKinney, Missouri County, Texas; David McKinney and I. W. McKinney, League City; Robbie McKinney; Hattie May McKinney and Ila A McKinney, League City
