OBITUARY
 Martha Ann Williams
February 5, 1935 – August 25, 2026
With her quick
wit, generous spirit, and remarkable strength, Martha Perry Williams
brought warmth and laughter to all who knew her. She passed away at the
age of 91 on August 25, 2026, in Carrollton, Texas, leaving a lifetime
of cherished memories and a legacy of love. Martha was the sixth of
eight children, and they all remained close throughout their lives.
After graduating from Carrollton High School, she married her high
school sweetheart, Freddy Williams. Martha was a lifelong resident of
Carrollton, except for two years in California while Freddy served in
the Navy.
Martha is
survived by her daughter, Terri Williams; son, Jeff Williams (Cheryl);
granddaughters, Rachel Moore (Kevin), and Rachel Barfield (John);
brother, Ed Perry (Ann); and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended
family members, and dear friends.
Martha’s
career included 35 years with Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, working in
administration and facility services before retiring in 1997. Along the
way, she formed lifelong friendships and inspired many memorable
stories, including a few that her friends still refuse to divulge.
Retirement did not slow her down; she continued working in her son’s
pool business until age 80. Sharp, clever, and a natural
problem-solver, Martha approached life with independence, resilience,
energy, and a generous heart.
Martha never
met a stranger. Her mission was to stand up for what she felt was
right, to lift others up, and help everyone feel welcome. She also
spoke from her heart – you knew where she stood, and when she agreed or
disagreed. Martha will be remembered for her determination, competitive
and fun spirit, and above all, her sense of humor. She loved sports,
cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Proud of her
Perry heritage, she also treasured her family’s place in Carrollton’s
founding history.
Martha’s life
was filled with family, hard work, service, faith, and joy. Her loved
ones will forever cherish her laughter, stories, wisdom, pranks, and
the countless ways she made them feel loved, valued, and encouraged.
Though she will be deeply missed, her love and laughter will remain in
their hearts always.
A graveside
service is planned for September 25, 2026 at 11:00 am at Perry
Cemetery, 1805 N. Perry Rd., Carrollton, TX 75006. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association,
Operation Kindness, or the charity of your choice.
