OBITUARY
Willetta Templin
February 9, 1954 - August 12, 2024
Willetta Templin, 70, of Denton, Texas passed away on August 12, 2024
in Denton. She was born in Dallas, Texas to Willie Pete and Lucille
(Templin) Swink.
She graduated RL Turner High School Class of ‘72. She was very
family-oriented spending a lot of her formative years helping to care
for her beloved siblings. This allowed them to become very close. This
helped to mold her into the extremely caring and giving person she was.
Everyone she met came to adore her. You could often find her around a
family member kitchen table with a cup of coffee.
She was very career-oriented working for corporate as well as
non-profit organizations. She cared very deeply for her girls to
provide the life she wanted them to have. Her support as they grew was
paramount in helping shape the women they have become today. She will
be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughters, Stacy Halliburton of Denton, Texas,
and Heather Morgan Dowds and husband Robbie of Odessa, Texas, her
brother, Kenneth Wayne Swink of Dallas, five grandchildren and ten
great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Steve Alan Swink, & her sister, Letha Ann Keathley.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 5-7 PM
at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas. Funeral Services will be
held on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Galilee Missionary
Baptist Church in Sanger, Texas.
