When Phil was two years old, his family moved to Southern California.

Yosemite National Park in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and riding
bicycles with his buddies, in the foothills of the Santa Susana
Mountains, near his Newhall, CA home.
When Phil was 13, his family was transferred to Carrollton, Texas.
There he attended Dewitt Perry Middle School, R.L. Turner High School
and DeVry University Irving. In his mid-twenties, Phil was hired by
University of California, San Diego- Institute of Geophysics and
Planetarey Physics- Scripps Institution of Oceanography. As an
Associate Development Engineer, his career took him to extremely remote
parts of the world, where he spent months in isolation, over-seeing
construction sites.
Following his career at the university, Phil moved to Georgia, where he lived near family and worked in the restaurant business.
