Harold Wayne Minter, a cherished husband, father, and community leader, passed away on July 30, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of devotion and service.

Born on June 10, 1938, in Clarksville, TX, to the loving parents Thomas and Mozell Minter, Harold's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and dedication. On February 21, 1958, Harold embarked on a lifelong journey of companionship, marrying Patricia Mitchell. Their union was a testament to unwavering commitment and shared joys. As Captain of the Dallas Fire Department for three decades, Harold exemplified bravery and selflessness, putting his life on the line to protect his community. In his professional journey, Harold also served as a Factory Service Representative for Bosch, dedicating 25 years to excellence and innovation.

Beyond his career achievements, he possessed a zest for life that manifested in his love for traveling, gambling, and fishing. These passions painted the canvas of his leisure time, allowing him to create cherished memories and experiences. Harold's true essence shone through his remarkable personality-honorable, funny, and kind. His ability to bring laughter to any room and his dedication to spreading kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all, Harold's love for his family was the cornerstone of his being. His love transcended time and space, and he leaves behind a family that will forever be touched by his unwavering affection. Harold was preceded in passing by his parents; brother, Jackie Ray; and nephew, Trace McFall.

He will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Patricia Minter; children, Gary Minter and Suzanne Minter; granddaughter, Tara Wyche; great-granddaughter, Lilionna Wyche; sister, Brenda Moore, Francis Dickerson, and Linda McFall; his firefighter family; and numerous friends who became family.

A Celebration of Life will be at Gateway church in Dallas on Monday 21st at 11am. Flowers can be sent to the church for the day of his celebration.
