OBITUARY
Elaine Livingston
August 28, 1949 –
May 11, 2026
Elaine passed away
peacefully on May 11, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. She was in
a loving home, cared for devotedly by family and cherished caregivers.
In her final days, Elaine was embraced by abundant peace, grace and
comfort.
Elaine was born on
August 28, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to Evelyn and Monroe Owens. She
married Steven Everett Livingston in 1968. After beginning their life
together in Farmers Branch, Texas, they moved to The Colony, Texas
where they spent the next 48 years creating a home filled with family
and lasting memories.
A graduate of R. L.
Turner High School, Elaine dedicated her career to hairdressing and
faithfully maintained her beloved Tuesday and Thursday schedule for
many years. Her clients became lifelong friends, a reflection of the
loyalty and care she extended to everyone in her life.
Elaine was fiercely
loyal and deeply devoted to her close circle of family and friends.
Though she thrived on routine, she was also wonderfully free-spirited,
happily allowing others to guide her days. A breast cancer survivor,
Elaine faced life’s challenges with remarkable strength and without
complaint. In the final year of her life, she devoted herself
selflessly to caring for her husband as he battled worsening dementia.
Elaine is survived
by Steve, her loving husband of 58 years; her son, Michael, and her
daughter, Shannon. She was a proud and devoted grandmother and
great-grandmother. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother,
Larry Owens and her sister, Della Baker; and her nieces and nephews
along with their adored families. Elaine’s life was further enriched by
the love and friendship of her extended family and dear friends,
including Jeff, Judy and Phil, Jill and Bruce, Bob and many others
whose lives she touched so deeply.
Elaine will be
remembered for her quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, caring heart,
and the gentle spirit that brought comfort and love to all who knew her.
