OBITUARY

Barbara L. Leggett

Barbara L. Leggett, 75, of 1346 Hillendale Road, Chambersburg, passed away Monday, February 20, 2006, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for the past five months.

Born February 17, 1931, in Dallas, Texas, she was the daughter of Earl and Lois (Knight) Floyd. She and her husband, Paul Leggett Jr., were married February 6, 1954.

Barbara worked for the Chambersburg School District as a librarian assistant and later at South Mountain Restoration Center as a medical records assistant, retiring in 1992. She was active in the Chambersburg Community Theatre, serving as president at one time, and also served as president of AFSCME Local 2355 for several years. She enjoyed her family, bingo, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Paul A. Leggett Jr.; two children, Denise (wife of Mark) Murray of Waynesboro and Paul A. (husband of Connie) Leggett III of Green Cove Springs, Florida; two grandchildren, Amy and Nicholas Murray, both of Waynesboro; one sister, Catherine Crane; and one brother, Murray Floyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Charles Floyd, and a great‑grandson, Braedon Murray.

Funeral arrangements are by Kelso‑Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, Pa. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family requests omission of flowers; donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
