OBITUARY

Mr. Kimble D. Howard
July 4, 1957 – January 30, 2023

IN THE CARE OF
Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park

Kimble Dwayne Howard (Kim) passed away from a sudden heart attack on January 30, 2023, in Grapevine, Texas where he and his wife of 26 years have resided for the last 15 years.
Born on July the 4th in Dallas, Texas to Charles Kimble Howard & Naomi Hubert Howard, Kim graduated from Turner High School in Farmers Branch Texas in 1976.

Kim was a proud veteran serving in the Army as a Combat Engineer – 24th infantry division - Fort Stewart, GA.

After his honorable discharge, Kim followed in the footsteps of his Dad, Charlie Howard, to become a Barber in a long standing family tradition of Barbers. Kim worked in Grapevine and his last place of business was within Ava Salon Suites & Spa located off West Hwy 114. His unique, one chair shop was filled with mementos of his great love of music (classic rock thank you) and always had a music video playing.

He was one of the few remaining Barbers that relaxed his customers with hot towels, applied foam around the ears when trimming, and used a straight razor on shaves as well as being known as the "Flat-Top King". He was the part time manager at Ava Salon Suites, and it was said by some the inhouse part time “father figure”.

Kim loved to play a round of golf with one of his many friends, grow tomatoes and peppers in his backyard, feed the birds (even the crows) and loved animals of all kinds. His fun-loving personality and sweet, caring disposition will be missed by all that knew him.

Kim is survived by his wife Judy, his parents, two brothers, Kevin and Danny and their wives Kimmie & Cara, two daughters, three nephews, and 5 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Operation Kindness where his beloved dog Danielle was rescued. www.OperationKindness.org
