OBITUARY   Larry D. Green February 16, 1950 ~ January 24, 2026 (age 75) Larry D. Green Obituary Memorial services for Larry D. Green, 75, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at Harmony Hill Baptist Church in Lufkin with Dr. John Greene and Pastor Todd Core officiating. Larry was born on February 16, 1950, in Carrollton, Texas, to the late Wilmer “Sky” Green and Wyleta (Smith) Green, and died Saturday, January 24, 2026, in Lufkin. Larry served in the Air Force as a captain for 14 years finishing his career as a flight commander involving missile defense. He worked as a right of way agent in the oil and gas industry before retiring in 2015. Larry was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church in Lufkin where he was a valued member of 2 life groups. He was an avid ham operator, electronics enthusiast, and computer guru, who spent days learning complex circuit diagrams and computer software.  Larry loved listening to music, especially at a higher volume.  Not to mention taking on babysitting a vivacious little girl, who loved to boss him around and was only one allowed to drive his wheelchair. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife, Davida Green; daughter, Leanna Marie Harvey and husband Michael and their children, Lauren Harvey and Abigail Harvey; son, Landon Alan Green and his children, Warrick Green, Charles Huston Green, Dalton Green, Madilyn Green, Emma Green, Donovan Green, and daughter-in-love, Mandy Green; sister, Linda Dillon and husband Wayne; sister-in-law, Clarice Mitchell and husband Tom; along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.  Honorary pallbearers will be The Monday Prayer Group. Special memorials may be made to Harmony Hill Baptist Church (Children’s Building Fund) 2708 S. Chestnut Dr., Lufkin, Texas 75901. A memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Harmony Hill Baptist Church, prior to the memorial service.
