OBITUARY   Rest in Power to my Cousin Kenneth Ray Graves.  I have so many fond memories of Kenneth as a kid, as we both grew up and became Senior Citizens. He was 4 years older, but he wasn’t just a cousin, he was a protector and a mentor, Especially Musically. He had a voice that we compared him to David Ruffin of the Temptations. With him and the guidance of our Uncle Albert we (Kenneth, Norman Spears, my brother Leonard and I) were pretty good as a youth Gospel Quartet but when we wanted to work on singing R&B, (like the Temptations or the Four Tops) Uncle Albert wouldn’t help us with what was called Secular or the Devil’s Music 😜.  We only sung at our church occasionally and a few Homecoming Gospel Events. I remember a Talent Show at R.L. Turner High School in Carrollton, Texas where Kenneth and Norman did a couple of Sam and Dave songs with a band called Milsap it was a group of Students backing them up (I think the leader of the band was Glenn Milsap).  After High School he joined the Navy. A few years later he met the Love ❤️ of his life Betty and they had 5 children and a host of grandchildren.  Kenneth will be missed by so many people that knew and loved him. posted by Booker Jackson
